1Presence vs Notion AI.

Notion AI lives in Notion. 1Presence lives in your life. Both are useful — but they answer different questions about where you want an assistant to be.

Notion AI lives in a doc. 1Presence lives in your life.

The shape of each tool

Notion AI is a feature inside Notion. It writes for you in pages, summarises blocks, answers questions about your workspace. If you live in Notion already, it is a clear upgrade — every doc you have is now in conversation with an AI without leaving the editor.

1Presence is the AI itself. The workspace, in our case, is the relationship and the memory it builds across everything you do — not just what you keep in one app. Presence reads Notion (when you grant it), but it also reads your email, your calendar, your Drive, your GitHub, your Slack, and your vault. It synthesises across all of them.

How they can work together

1Presence has a Notion connector. If your team's knowledge is in Notion already, Presence can search across pages and databases, pull content into the conversation, and reference it in synthesis. You do not have to abandon Notion to use 1Presence.

What changes is the centre of gravity. Notion AI assumes you start in Notion and stay there. 1Presence assumes the AI is the centre and your tools are sources it pulls from — including Notion. That makes the AI useful even when you are not at a desk, not in a doc, not in Notion at all.

When Notion AI is the right tool

If your whole work life lives in Notion and you mostly want help drafting and querying within it — Notion AI is fine. It is the cheaper option if you do not want anything outside the doc.

When 1Presence is the right tool

  • Your life spans more than one tool — email, calendar, drive, code, chat.
  • You want an assistant on your phone, between tasks, not just at your desk.
  • You want memory that lasts beyond a workspace.
  • You want specialist agents, scheduled routines, and workflows.
  • You want notes you can read in any editor.
