The world, or one person
A link for anyone. Or a door for someone.
A public link
One tap turns any document into a typeset page on 1presence.com — social preview included, live until you revoke it, readable by anyone with the URL. For sending to the world.
A private share
Share straight to a person by email. It lands in their Shared with you — no link to leak, nothing public — with the access you chose: read, comment, or edit.
Both work for documents and for dashboards alike, from the same Share panel.
Typeset, previewable, revocable
A typeset page with a social preview image, ready for email, WhatsApp, anywhere. Copy it, or have 1Presence send it.
The URL stops working immediately. You decide what stays public and for how long.
Shared pages are typeset for reading and live on 1presence.com for as long as you want them to. Revoke at any time and the link dies on the spot.
Read, comment, or edit — you choose per person
- 1
Share to their email
From the document’s Share panel, or just ask: "share the proposal with nadia@…, let her edit". It lands in their Shared with you — they get a quiet email; if they are not on 1Presence yet, the same email invites them, free, and the document is waiting when they join.
- 2
Choose what each person can do
Read — the document, typeset, nothing more. Comment — notes and questions beside the work. Edit — it opens for them exactly like one of their own, same page, same editor.
- 3
Change your mind any time
Upgrade, downgrade or remove anyone’s access whenever you like, or stop sharing entirely.
There is only ever one live copy, so you both always see the latest. Every change is captured with who made it and when; the full history is there to browse and restore. And if two people reach for it at once, nobody’s work is quietly overwritten — the second save is held back with a nudge to refresh first.
Privacy is kept even in the mechanics: they need their own account to see a private share, and 1Presence never reveals whether an email address is already signed up — so sharing gives nothing away.
Pinned to the words they are about
Comments can be anchored to a passage: select the words you mean and the note attaches right there. The highlighted text wears a small marker — tap it to jump to the comment, tap the comment to jump back. As the document is edited the marker follows the text, and if a passage is removed entirely its comment is kept safe in the panel rather than lost.
And you do not have to keep up with the threads yourself — your assistant does:
Lists the open threads and which part of each document they are about.
Replies in the thread and closes it, without you opening the panel.
The same goes for documents shared with you: your assistant can read, summarise, and — with editing rights — change them like any of your own notes, with its edits captured in the same shared history so the other person sees exactly what changed and when.
Links that follow through
Your notes link to each other, and those links keep working when you share. If a shared document points to another you have also shared with the same person — or made public alongside it — the link is live and they can click straight through. Links to anything unshared simply stay as plain text, so following a link never opens a door to the rest of your vault. Share a set of connected notes and they read like a small, self-contained site.
On your terms
One copy, the right eyes, a full history.
A public page for the world or a private share for one person — with per-person access, comments pinned to the words they are about, and an assistant that keeps up with the threads so you do not have to.
Common questions
Does the other person need a 1Presence account?
For a public link, no — anyone with the URL can read it. For a private share, yes: a free account, and the invitation email gets them there with the document already waiting.
Can we edit at the same time?
You share one live copy, and history records every change with who and when. If two saves collide, the second is held back with a nudge to refresh first — nobody’s work is silently lost.
Can I share just one record from a larger set?
Yes — with per-record pages, a helper can be given a single record’s page to keep up to date, able to change that one and nothing else. More on living records.
Do dashboards share the same way?
Yes — the same Share panel, the same two choices: a public read-only link, or a private share by email with view or edit access, always showing your latest figures.
Send the thing you just made.
The brief, the proposal, the dashboard — it is one tap from your vault to the person who needs it.
Every share is revocable, every change is on the record, and nothing goes further than you chose.
