Strength & Lifting

Say what you lifted on the way out, and find out whether the numbers are actually going up.

Say "squat 3×5 at 120, felt like an 8" on the walk out of the gym and the rest happens: the set is on the log, the volume adds up, and the board answers the only question that matters — are the numbers actually going up? Your best set on every lift sits together with its estimated one-rep max and how much it has moved since the block began. Volume goes month by month and muscle group by muscle group, so a neglected half of the body shows itself. Write a training block with the planner and the Sunday review marks off what you actually did against what you planned — from the log, never from memory. It never programmes for you, never scores you, and every estimated one-rep max says which formula produced it.

1 agent, 1 routine, 1 dashboard, 2 records, 2 skills. Installing ends with Meet Coach — a short conversation sets it up, and everything can be retimed or paused after.

The crew

Coach

Keeps the shape of your training week — and tells you honestly what it was.

Honest, steady — reads the log, never judges it.

Shared with the Training & Recovery Kit — one keeper, both kits.

What else it installs

Lift logrecord

Every set you have done — the lift, the weight, the reps, and how hard it felt.

Training programmerecord

The block you meant to do — days, lifts, planned sets, and what became of each.

Session captureskill

Say "squat 3×5 at 120, felt like an 8" and the set is on the log.

Programme plannerskill

Writes the block you are running into a record the Sunday review can mark off.

Training logdashboard

Your best sets, where the volume goes, and whether the numbers are moving.

How it works

The mechanics of this kit, plainly — what runs and when, where the data lands, and what you look at.

  • Weekly training review runs sundays · 6:30pm and keeps the Training log dashboard fresh. Sundays — redraws the week, refreshes the best sets, marks the block off against the log.
  • What is captured lands in the Lift log record, which lives at Data/Lift Log in your vault — yours to open, search, and edit like any other file.
  • What is captured lands in the Training programme record, which lives at Data/Training Program in your vault — yours to open, search, and edit like any other file.
  • The Training log dashboard reads from the record and shows, at a glance: sessions this week · volume this week · entries on the log · volume on the log · this week, session by session · your best set, lift by lift · where the volume goes · volume, month by month · what became of the block · the lift log · the programme · what this is.

The wiring, in one breath: Session capture writes to Lift log · Lift log shown by Training log · Training log kept fresh by Weekly training review · Weekly training review marks off Training programme · Training programme written by Programme planner.

Getting the most from it

A kit earns its place when it changes what you look at and what you say, not when it is installed. This is the rhythm that makes it pay.

  • Say it on the walk out, in the language you already use — "squat 3×5 at 120, felt like an 8". One sentence is a row; a whole session in one message is fine too.
  • Settle the unit once at the start and never think about it again. Nothing converts behind your back, and nothing mixes kilograms with pounds in one column.
  • Read the best-set list, not the volume, when you want to know if you are progressing. Volume tells you how much work you did; the estimated one-rep max and its twelve-week movement tell you whether it worked.
  • Look at "Where the volume goes" once a month. A half of the body that has quietly stopped appearing is the thing this panel is for.
  • If you follow a block, let the planner write it down — then the Sunday review marks it off against the log, so adherence is evidence rather than a memory of how the week felt.
  • Ask Coach what a lift has been doing rather than scrolling the log. It reads the record back and tells you how a standard progression would continue — and then leaves the choice with you.

Make it yours

Nothing here is fixed. The pieces are ordinary agents, routines, records and dashboards, so anything you know about shaping those applies. Retire whatever earns nothing.

Things people usually change first

Say any of these in chat, or edit them on the kit’s page in the app.

  • The unit weights are kept in — set once at the start.
  • When the Sunday review runs, or turning it off and just keeping the board.
  • How much Coach says back when you log a set — the confirmation and the running volume, or nothing at all.
  • Whether you keep a written block at all, or just let the log accumulate.

Your first run

Installing starts a short setup conversation — not a form. Answer roughly, correct later.

  1. Installing ends with "Meet Coach" — a short conversation, not a form. It settles one thing first (kilograms or pounds), then offers the whole territory of lifts in a single panel so the one you did not think to mention still gets its chance, and takes a recent working set for each of the ones you pick. Rough is fine; anything you cannot remember stays blank rather than being guessed.
  2. If you follow a training block, that is where it gets written down — the days, the lifts, the planned sets and reps. If you train by feel, say so: nothing is written, and the rest of the kit works exactly the same.
  3. Nothing here asks for a connector, and nothing is coming later. No integration records what you actually lifted — a fitness app knows you trained, not that it was five at 120 — so the log is conversational by design, and Coach will say so rather than leave you waiting.
  4. Skip the conversation and the door quietly stays open: until a single lift is on the log, the kit page, the board and Coach's chat each carry a one-line offer to sit down whenever you are ready. The first lift, however it arrives, closes it for good.
  5. From then on there is nothing to open. On Sunday evening the review redraws the week, refreshes the best sets, and marks the block off against what the log holds. Most weeks it says nothing at all — it leaves a card only for a genuine new best, or when the load has been climbing for three weeks with the efforts climbing too.

Watch the first pass, then tell it what you would have done differently — that correction teaches it more than any setup could.
