Reporting something, and what we do about it.

Every surface that shows you someone else’s content carries a report control. You do not need an account to use it.

• A shared document link — "Report this page" at the foot of the page. It works without signing in and without JavaScript.
• A shared dashboard — "Report this dashboard", under the shared-with-you note.
• A document or character shared with you by name — "Report this", beside the note saying who shared it.

A report reaches a person within minutes and is read within 2 business days. We do not reply to every report — many are about content we cannot discuss with anyone but its owner — but every one is looked at by a human.

If the content breaches our terms, we remove it from circulation: the link stops working, and so does its preview card. Where the account itself is the problem rather than one document, we suspend it — and everything that account has published comes down with it.

If it does not breach the terms, we close the report and leave the content alone. A report is not a veto, and volume alone never triggers a removal.

The prohibitions live in the terms and are worth reading in full, but in short: nothing illegal, nothing that harasses or targets a person, no sexual content involving minors, no non-consensual likeness or voice, and no deceptive synthetic media.

If someone shares things with you that you do not want, you can block them. Anything they have already shared with you is withdrawn, and nothing new from them will reach you — including a share they send before they realise. They are not told that you blocked them.

We do not scan your vault. Moderation here is reactive — driven by reports — and that is a deliberate choice rather than a gap. Sharing in 1Presence is quiet: you send one document to one person, or put a dashboard in front of your team. Reading everybody’s private notes on the chance that one of them is objectionable would be a far bigger intrusion than the problem it addresses.

Removals are made by people, and people make mistakes. If something of yours was taken down and you think it should not have been, write to abuse@1presence.com from the account address and say so. A different person looks at it again. If we were wrong, restoring a share is a single action — nothing is deleted by a takedown, only withdrawn from circulation.
