How it works

The mechanics of this kit, plainly — what runs and when, where the data lands, and what you look at.

Getting the most from it

A kit earns its place when it changes what you look at and what you say, not when it is installed. This is the rhythm that makes it pay.

• Let the Monday and Thursday sweeps do the reading; your job is the glance. Open Your trips when a getaway is on the horizon and read Missing pieces before you read anything else — that list is the honest signal of what still needs your hand.
• Forward a confirmation the moment it arrives somewhere other than your inbox — a screenshot, a message from whoever booked — with a line saying which trip it is for. Trip capture files it where the sweep would have, and the itinerary redraws.
• Say the trip before it exists. "Thinking about Cornwall for the bank holiday" puts it on the register as an idea, and asking Skye to help plan it turns the idea into legs — booked, decided, or open — with the days written to your vault as they take shape.
• Settle every "unsure" in a word. A trip the sweep could not tell apart is filed as unsure rather than guessed; tell Skye "work" or "getaway" and it never counts a conference as a holiday again. Standing rules — "Frankfurt is always work" — are remembered.
• Read the Trip brief the morning it lands, three days out, and check its gaps against what you know. It is drawn only from the log, so a leg it does not show is a leg the log does not hold — say so and it is filed.
• When the desk asks for a membership number, ask Skye rather than your email. Loyalty numbers is kept from the confirmations themselves.

Make it yours

Nothing here is fixed. The pieces are ordinary agents, routines, records and dashboards, so anything you know about shaping those applies. Retire whatever earns nothing.

Things people usually change first

Say any of these in chat, or edit them on the kit’s page in the app.

• Which trips count as getaways and which as work — one word each, or a standing rule for a city or a kind of trip.
• Your home airport, the airline or seat you always pick, and who usually travels with you — said once, remembered for every sweep.
• How far ahead of a trip you want the brief, or turning the brief off and keeping just the board.
• When the sweeps run, or pausing them and adding confirmations by hand.
• The trip labels themselves — the register is yours to edit, and the itinerary follows it.

Your first run

Installing starts a short setup conversation — not a form. Answer roughly, correct later.

1. Adding the Kit offers the first sweep right away: connect your email on the same screen, start it with one tap, and watch it read back through a year of confirmations — flights, stays, trains, hires, transfers — file each one, group them into trips, and tag every trip as a getaway or a work trip from the evidence on it. Anything it cannot tell apart is filed as unsure, never guessed. Prefer not to connect email? Tell Skye about the next trip instead, and the register builds by hand.
2. When that first sweep finishes, Skye leaves a short note in your 1Presence inbox saying what it filed — how many bookings, across how many trips — and invites two minutes together to settle which were work and which were getaways, and to catch anything it split or merged wrongly.
3. From then on the sweep runs on Mondays and Thursdays and raises a card only when a new trip appears, one is unsure, or a booking was cancelled. The Trip brief runs each morning and stands down until the register has a trip on it; three days before you go, it sends one card with every leg, reference and loyalty number.
4. Mention a trip you are thinking about and it goes on the register as an idea; ask for help planning it and the Getaway planner walks the legs with you and writes the days to your vault.
