Meetings & Actions

The commitments made in the room outlive the room.

Meetings are where commitments are made — and where they quietly die. This walks you into every meeting already briefed, and keeps two records nothing escapes from: a register of who owes what by when, and a log of what was decided and why. Rough notes after a call become clean records; commitments mentioned in passing get caught; and once a week the ageing ones come back with a polite nudge already drafted.

2 agents, 1 routine, 1 dashboard, 2 records, 2 skills, 1 workflow. Installing asks whether to run the first pass now — after that everything can be retimed or paused.

How it works

The mechanics of this kit, plainly — what runs and when, where the data lands, and what you look at.

  • Meeting prep runs weekdays · 7:30am and keeps the Meetings & Actions dashboard fresh. Each weekday morning it walks you into every meeting briefed.
  • Action chase runs mondays · 8:30am, in 2 stages: Registrar reads and picks (handing over needs nudge), then Herald drafts the nudges (handing over drafted).
  • What is captured lands in the Action register record, which lives at Data/Action Register in your vault — yours to open, search, and edit like any other file.
  • What is captured lands in the Decision log record, which lives at Data/Decision Log in your vault — yours to open, search, and edit like any other file.
  • The Meetings & Actions dashboard reads from the record and shows, at a glance: today · week load · actions by status · actions by owner · action register · decision log.

The wiring, in one breath: Meeting notes writes to Action register · Meeting notes writes to Decision log · Action capture writes to Action register · Action register shown by Meetings & Actions · Decision log shown by Meetings & Actions · Meetings & Actions kept fresh by Meeting prep · Action chase reads Action register · Registrar hands over to Herald.

Make it yours

Nothing here is fixed. The pieces are ordinary agents, routines, records and dashboards, so anything you know about shaping those applies. Retire whatever earns nothing.

Things people usually change first

Say any of these in chat, or edit them on the kit’s page in the app.

  • Which meetings get prepped, and how early the prep card arrives.
  • What counts as an action worth registering, and what is just conversation.
  • How a nudge reads when a commitment ages — brisk, or warm and apologetic.
  • Where records are filed, and how folders are named.
  • Whether the weekly chase drafts nudges at all, or just shows you the list.

Your first run

Installing starts a short setup conversation — not a form. Answer roughly, correct later.

  1. Its first morning reads the day's calendar and leaves one prep card for the whole day — related notes, open actions with the people in the room, recent decisions, briefest first.
  2. You give it a real meeting to practise on — paste rough notes from a call you have already had, and it turns them into register entries and decisions before it touches anything live.
  3. You react to the result. Comment or edit; that first correction usually teaches it the most.
  4. Tell it in chat which calendars matter, which calls are private, or where records belong in your vault, and it remembers.

Watch the first pass, then tell it what you would have done differently — that correction teaches it more than any setup could.

The essentials

Learning, preferences and run costs work the same in every kit — so they are covered once, in the Kits guide.
